Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensors

EGT/EGRT sensors are measuring devices that monitor the temperature of exhaust gases in order to:

  • Optimize fuel/air ratio and control fuel consumption
  • Control emissions
  • Diagnose proper after treatment components operation such as Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF) Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) etc.

Our temperature sensors use various technologies:

  • Thermocouple
  • Platinum Resistive Temperature Device (RTD)
  • Thermistor

Product Range

  • Designed to work in a very aggresive environment
  • Available with different connector types, electrical contact materials and harness lengths – can be customized to any customer needs
  • Variety of thread sizes, probe lengths and bend angles available
  • Anti-rotation (location) features available for angled sensors
  • Available as passive device or with conditioning electronics providing required type of output signal (e.g. Analog, PWM, CAN, SENT)
  • Available in a range of operating temperatures with many different RT curves
  • Can work up to 1200°C (thermocouple version)
